Your Program of Study is personalized upon acceptance to York College. Listed below is a suggested progression of courses to fulfill the requirements of the certificate program. You will need to work closely with your Academic Advisor from the Graduate Nursing Department to successfully complete this program.
* Post-Master’s students must complete 56 hours of clinical experience with a nurse practitioner, prior to enrolling in the first clinical course in the fall (AGPCNP = NUR 522/523) (PMHNP = NUR 562/563). Students who have not met this requirement will register for one (1) credit of independent study during the summer semester. The purpose of this experience is to practice history taking and physical exam skills. Students who completed the 56 hours of clinical experience in a previous course may be required to perform a complete physical exam demonstration in the summer prior to enrollment in the course.
