Begin with 23 credit hours of core curriculum, then specialize your MSN degree in one of three clinical tracks. Explore each clinical track, its requirements, and its curriculum below.
Valid PA or MD Multistate license, in good standing
BSN, GPA of 3.0 or above from prior institution(s)
1 year of applicable professional RN experience is required
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, the master's degree program in nursing, and the post-graduate APRN certificate program at York College of Pennsylvania are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
The Family Nurse Practitioner track leads to a Master of Science degree that prepares you to specialize in the diagnosis and management of both common and complex medical conditions for patients across the lifespan.
The FNP track begins with a solid theoretical foundation then adds clinical experiences in a variety of patient care settings. As you study to become an advanced practice nurse you will learn how to provide cutting edge, evidence-based practice in a role that is in high demand, giving you the skills to contribute to improving healthcare outcomes. Upon graduation you will be eligible to sit for the national FNP certification exam.
