Program Requirements

Registered nurses who graduated from an accredited program, and meet program requirements are eligible for direct articulation into the Nursing program.

  • YCP offers 100% general education block transfer for students with an associate degree (A.S., A.D.N.) - for most students, but not all, an average of around 70-72 credits is granted.

  • They may be granted up to 90 transfer credits for completed coursework (nursing plus support courses). Nurses who have previously completed a baccalaureate education in another major are required to complete only the required nursing and support courses.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, the master's degree program in nursing, and the post-graduate APRN certificate program at York College of Pennsylvania are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
